Kingside Attack
Most games are decided by an assault on the castled king. A kingside attack throws pawns and pieces at the enemy king's shelter: h- and g-pawns storming forward, rooks lifting to the third rank, a knight leaping to f5 or g5.
How to spot it: attack where you have more force and more space, and where the king lives. Open a file toward it, trade off its defenders, and count your attackers against its defenders before you strike.
